This weekend, as the sun and moon meet in the early degrees of Taurus, we see the first supportive lunar aspect to Mars since his direct station in Virgo. This is a truly unique moment of personal power and its ability to bring about very real change in the manifested world.

The sun’s movement through Cancer finds us gathering those people, things and ideas we treasure and holding them close. We don’t want to expose them to the harsh environment of the outside world. Vulnerability is an experience we’re compelled to explore in far greater depth, this month and it arrives in some unexpected forms. I have invested the better part of my waking hours over the last four years in helping people make healthier life choices, particularly in the realm of their relationships. Many of these people have achieved healthy and satisfying partnerships and I am happy to announce that as of January, three are happily married and one is engaged. But, having seen a frequently repeated pattern of dysfunction in the lives of countless people, I would like to send this Valentine’s Day message to the men and women out there who still struggle with the concept of dating as a mature, responsible adult.

The Winter Solstice has arrived in synchronicity with a lunar eclipse in Gemini. On the year’s longest night and in the deepest darkness we find our only remaining light occluded. A fearsome time, indeed! It seems little wonder that our ancestors took such pains to coax the Sun back into the skies, lest it leave Mankind, forever.

The mad genius that is the Universe has served up yet another celestial smackdown. That's right. The triple conjunction of Mars, Pluto and retrograde Mercury is upon us. These three join forces in Capricorn to blow holes in those pre-existing structures to which we all so desperately cling. Stagnation is pathology, all things must change and this is the kind of shake-up that takes no prisoners on its mission to affect it.

We are mere days away from a fabulous opportunity to turn things around and steer them in a very positive direction. Jupiter and Venus will both station direct on Thursday, November 18th. With that comes a great celestial wave of supportive energy.
